My Story.
Over a decade ago, I found myself in my 20s, tipping the scales at around 300 lbs. The exact number became a mystery, as I, like many in my situation, abandoned the scale out of shame and embarrassment. The evidence of my morbid obesity and unhealthy lifestyle was glaring enough—sizes above 24 in my wardrobe and a reflection in the mirror that spoke volumes. Fast food and endless Cherry Cokes were my daily companions, and physical activity was a distant memory from my teenage years.​As I approached marriage with my now ex-husband, the desire to start a family collided with a harsh reality. My doctor, in the gentlest way possible, made it clear that shedding at least 50 lbs was required for a healthy pregnancy. Determined to transform before the big day and driven by the dual motivation of aesthetics and family planning, I took the plunge into a six-week boot camp. Accountability became my ally, and though progress was gradual, success began to show.​The wedding came, and with the guidance of a personal trainer, I shed around 30 pounds. However, marital bliss was short-lived, and a year later, we separated. While my ex struggled with regaining lost weight, I embarked on a quest to find another boot camp.
Enter CrossFit, a game-changer that not only reshaped my body but also redefined my priorities. The divorce finalized a year later, and with it came the meeting of my now-husband, the start of a new chapter that blessed us with three beautiful girls.​
My journey to health unfolded over the past decade, evolving from a quest for weight loss to a pursuit of strength and, ultimately, a focus on overall well-being. I've immersed myself in learning about nutrition and fitness, gaining insights from personal experiences at different points in my health journey. Armed with a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer certification, Precision Nutrition Coaching credentials, and specialization in Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism, I wear multiple hats—part-time CrossFit coach, full-time mom, and passionate health and fitness advocate.​As I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing education, I invite you to join me on your own journey toward better health.
